Traditional chief abducted in Osun as fear grips residents over rise in security challenges

A traditional Chief in Osun state, Chief Tirimi of Ibokunland, Amusat laleye Dusin has been kidnapped by a suspected gang of kidnappers.
This latest ugly development has heightened the fear of the residents over the apparent rise in the security challenges battling the state.
Chief Dusin was kidnapped on Monday evening  along Ijebu/ Esa Odo road in Osun state, a relative of the victim, Mr. Ajayi Awesu told Amiloaded on the telephone.
The abducted chief is aged 60.
It was gathered that Cgief Dusin’s vehicle was later found around AGRIC AREALONG Esa Oke.
Awesu  said the securities agencies had been informed and that they were in search of the victim.
Chief Dusin was said to have been kidnapped around 10pm and that he was the only occupant of the car.
Recall that a lecturer at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife was kidnapped in the state before his eventual freedom after payment of over five million naira ransom.
Also, an Ibadan based lawyer was kidnapped before his freedom.
Some lecturers at Bowen university, Iwo were kidnapped before they were freed.
Residents have expressed serious concerns over these kidnappings among other robbery cases within some communities in the state.
