Buharists are stunned. For the first time in a long time, they are being outshouted. They are looking for their zeal–for the shrillness of their conceit. But like a people about to be drowned, they are still desperatly clutching at straw. Keyamo kicked real hard on Channels. There is only one straw left: that Atiku is a looter.
It won’t fly this time. That tremendous fraud. Nigerians are bored to the bones by that empty, mundane singsong.
And who said Buhari is spotless? The attribution of integrity and principle to Buhari is about the absurdest irony ever. Officials of this government are presently occupied in a loot-fest. Nigeria, as I write, is being mercilessly pillaged. Buhari has been inextricably implicated in a plethora of financial scandals. I don’t know a thing about corruption if divisive nepotism is not part of it. I have no clue about corruption if bloodshed does not constitute corruption. Buhari is convulatedly corrupt and evil.
Atiku whose ” corruption” they are now trumpeting was Buhari’s bedfellow in 2015. He made generous donations to his campaign. Then, he was totally reproachless. He did not steal a naira note from the country. The moment his interest and that of Mr. Integrity clashed, his sins were exhumed and recalled. He became once again the notorious looter of public patrimony.
That has been Buhari’s corrupt way of fighting corruption. Two dead men made the recent travel ban list but Obanikoro and Godswill Akpabio were conspicuously missing from it. They have been dusted clean and sanctified. If you honestly believe that Buhari is fighting corruption; that Buhari is not corrupt, then it has been many years you went off your rockers.
RIP Hauwa Leman, the freshest victim of a country that has lost the ability to feel.
