– Cristiano Ronaldo has been told by his mother not to join Ligue 1 champions PSG
– The Portugal international has hinted his time could be over at Real Madrid
– Los Blancos won their 13th Champions League title after win over Liverpool
Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo has been encouraged by his mother to rejoin Manchester United instead of Paris Saint-Germain, Daily Star reports.
The 33-year-old sparked rumours with comments he made after the Champions League win over Liverpool in Kiev.
The Portuguese superstar hinted to fans in a post-match interview his time is up with the Bernabeu club.
“Now it’s time to enjoy this. In the next few days I’ll give the fans, who have been by my side, an answer. It’s been great being at Real Madrid,” he said after the final whistle in Kiev.
“I’ll speak in the next few days. Now it’s time to enjoy the moment. The future of any player isn’t important. We’ve made history.”
Zinedine Zidane’s side won their third straight European title in a row, and their fourth in five years to make it a total of 13 trophies.
But despite the remarkable feat, Ronaldo could leave in the summer and his mother Dolores Aveiro has suggested where to go.
She said: “I like Paris. I come every now and again.
“The last time was when my son received the Ballon d’Or.
“It was a great honour. When I arrived I was treated well by everyone.
“Convince Cristiano to sign for PSG? To be honest, it wouldn’t annoy me [if he did].
“But I would prefer him to return to Manchester United.”
